This 12 'page' program introduces the students to the 8 points of the compass and how to use these to follow instructions on a map. Finding points on a map using the grid reference method is also explained using 'hands on' tasks. Map scale and 'legend' are introduced. The pages are very interactive with activities such as colouring in certain features, drag and drop and measuring distances using 'scale'. A down-loadable and printable worksheet will also help consolidate the lesson.
